Friday 13th May 7.30pm
As a fundraiser for the Grassmarket Project the Rum Diaries Presents bring their hugely talented and critically acclaimed team of professional actors to perform rehearsed performances of new writings, poetry and spoken word to the Grassmarket, Edinburgh. It promises to be an fantastic night as the last two years of performances have gone down exceptionally well with audiences and writers in equal measure.
Every month they invite playwrights, short story writers and novelists, comedy and sketch writers, etc who would like to test-drive some of their work at their exciting new live space on the Southside of Glasgow but this time its the Grassmarket’s turn. Once more all the performers, writers, staff and crew are giving their time for free so you can enjoy your evening knowing every penny of your ticket goes to the charitable work of the Grassmarket Community Project
If you have a segment from a script in the development phase for example or any new writing created for performance and would like to try it out on an interested and supportive audience then this is your chance. If you fancy submitting a ten minute piece of theatre or prose using the word ‘Invisible’ as a stimulus, please contact [email protected] They have four writers already on board but are looking for others.
