We are in need of a whole squad of Chefs, Kitchen Assistants, FOH supervisors Full & Part Time and Catering Assistants to join our award winning team.
Grassmarket Community Project takes an innovative approach to creating community and providing sanctuary and support to participants, many of whom are amongst the most vulnerable of our citizens. Through mentoring, social enterprise, training and education in a nurturing environment, the Project develops skills which enable participants to develop to their full potential and move away from cycles of failure.
For us Social Enterprise is core to our sustainability as an organisation. Although our roots are in working with people who were traditionally homeless, we have realised that community has a wider definition and we now work with people who experience mental/physical health issues and learning support needs.
Due to an exciting new venture in Edinburgh’s City Centre and an increase in our business we are looking for skilled, energetic, passionate staff with experience in working in a fast paced large scale environment who like a challenge and want to exceed customer expectations. Main responsibilities of this role will be ensuring our customers receive good quality hot fresh food, served with friendly speedy service in a welcoming clean environment.
Shifts are 5/7, Chef and FOH supervisors are 40 & 25 hours per week and Kitchen Assistants and Catering Assistants 30+ hours per week.
This contract is initially till October 2020
Rate of Pay for Kitchen & Catering Assistants £8.75ph plus 4% Pension contribution and Holiday allowance.
Rate of Pay for Chefs & FOH Supervisors £11ph plus 4% Pension contribution and Holiday allowance.
