Minor Moans or Big Issues
We will post details of "smaller" issues here so that you can take action if these are affecting you. Chipping away at various departments trying to get more peoples' attention on a range of issues can be frustrating and what is needed is multiple numbers adding their voice to the task.
Loose Manhole
I am being driven bonkers with a noisy manhole cover outside my door, CLARENCE on 0800 23 23 23 is the contact for that and they've had phone calls from me and another neighbour since January 2009!
Pillars of the Community
Would it not be an idea to use the new grey pillars to advertise things about to happen in the Grassmarket. The general lack of information about events is astonishing - nobody I meet outwith the Grassmarket ever seems to have heard of anything, and I only know because now I am in a loop through the Grassmarket Residents Association.

I'll put it on the agenda for Monday's meeting - in principle yes it's a good idea and I'll ask the Council officer who is managing the flyposting sites about the possibility of doing this and report back.
