  • The area as detailed in the constitution is about one square mile

 

  • It includes, but is not limited to, the following places:
    • Grassmarket (and Closes)
    • West Bow (and Closes)
    • Victoria Street
    • Victoria Terrace
    • Candlemaker Row
    • Upper Bow
    • Cowgatehead
    • Heriot Bridge
    • King’s Stables Road
    • Brown’s Place
    • Castle Wynd South
    • Portsburgh Square
    • West Port (and Closes, Wynds and Lands)

 

  • The population is estimated as in excess of 600 although possibly nearer 800
    • It has been difficult to establish an accurate head count.
